December Hilights

Samantha had her fall/winter concert in December. We felt very lucky that both sets of grandparents were able to share this with Sam. I got several pictures of Sami (as she's going by this school year) but the lighting is funny or they are blurry. I tried to get one with the kid next to her just standing there, but no lucky, so have a laugh. I also got several short videos of them singing. If you want to hear, I will share them with you when you come visit. The last song they sang was about the Northern Lights. A couple times during the song they turned the lights out and all the kids helped shake a rope light. It was a pretty neat.

We had a great Christmas. It was so nice to be close to both sides of our families again for the Holidays. We had a couple Christmas parties and dinners that we enjoyed. We spent time with as much family as we could. The kids even got to see Santa Clause. The girls were so excited. I didn't think that Sam would stop jumping to get her gift. Andi went right up to Santa and said hi. JJ...he wanted to keep his distance. I had to push him close enough just so I could reach up and get the gift for him. Riley wasn't sure what to think. I have pictures, but they probably only interest me and my scrapbook as they are very much "mom" pictures.

This was a gift from Grandpa Mason. It came with a talking dump truck too. I quickly got a few pictures of Riley in the hat because I thought that I would never see him wear it again. Boy was I wrong. The boys LOVE this hat. I see one of them wearing it every few days. Or fighting over it. It is very cute seeing them in hats.

The Washington cousins came to grandma and grandpa's house just after Christmas for a couple days. We had so fun visiting and catching up. The kids all played outside until they were frozen and their shoes covered in mud. They all can't wait to play together again.

Samantha came to me early in December showing me her loose teeth. I also noticed that her permanent teeth were well on their way in. At the end of the month one night when she was brushing her teeth one of her teeth feel out. She was so excited. Her first baby tooth fell out!! I looked at her other tooth and told her that one would be out in the next day or two. She went back in the bathroom and wiggled that tooth and in no time she was shouting about that tooth having fallen out too!! So, being the mom that I am, I had to snap a few pictures of her teeth and mouth, now you get to enjoy them.

Samantha's two teeth.
