As every parent knows, it seems to be the goal of every young child to prove their parents wrong. A couple of posts ago I stated that Riley was crawling up the stairs, very well, and had no interest in crawling down them. Well, a couple of days later, I saw Riley crawl down the stairs. You may have seen from a few posts, that our stairs go up three to a small landing and turn 90 degrees and go the rest of the way up. Riley spent 2-3 days mastering going up and down those three stairs. And if you clapped for Riley, he would grin so big and then go up and down one stair for more clapping. So, of course, it wasn't long until he was going up and down all the stairs. He quickly found a way to go down the stairs quickly, by doing a controlled slide down the stairs on his tummy. I am sure he learned it from JJ. So here is a video of Riley going down our stairs. This isn't as fast as he goes, but hopefully you get the idea. I am excited to get this on video since in the very near future we will no longer have stairs.

A Last First
JJ has gotten his hair cut about once a month for almost a year. Saturday, I cut JJ's hair and when I was done Jamie said "Now it's Riley's turn." He isn't as old as JJ when he got his hair cut the first time, but his hair was getting pretty long. So, Jamie cut Riley's hair.

I did manage to get a longer length on the clippers before Jamie started, so it is a bit longer then JJ's. But since Riley has such light hair, it looks so short.
Saturday was our last time doing a first hair cut. We can't wait for some other last firsts and last lasts. The next on our list... our last bottle to make... only a month away.
