Halloween

Because I'm crazy, I think, I like to have a pumpkin for each of the kids. Then, as I am carving them, I wonder, why did I want so many, I am carving them and cleaning them all. We bought our four pumpkins this year and then Sam brought one home from school. Five pumpkins to carve. Sam ended up letting JJ have her pumpkin from school, which I think he really liked because it was "his size." The girls carved their own pumpkins this year, and have gotten better about cleaning them out. I wasn't to sure about it, but they had a lot of fun doing it, and they did a great job. I asked them what kid of face they wanted and drew it on for them, and they followed the lines. I was really impressed with how well they did. Below is Samantha's on the left, JJ's in the middle and Andrea's on the right.

This is the first year for as long as I can remember that I haven't done fangs on a pumpkin.

Fairy Princess Andrea, Witch Samantha, and Skeleton JJ.

Poor Riley, he came down with something Friday night and just wanted to lay around all day Saturday. He was to sick for Halloween this year.

We started the night by going to my mom's ward trunk-or-treat. The kids had a so much. As soon as we were done JJ happily climbed into his car seat with two little candy bars in his hand.
