A Few New Favorites

I think most people have the "rule" in their houses that if you get a poopy diaper, it is placed in a bag and then taken to the outside garbage can. JJ thinks that any door that opens he needs to go through, and loves going outside. It didn't take him long to realize what was happening. JJ loves to help. And now every time we give JJ some garbage, he runs to get a bag to put it in, then demands that he takes it to the outside garbage. If he sees you with a bag he demands that you give it to him, then take him out side to dispose of it. What a funny guy.

Samantha has loved the water slide for a long time. Andi has only gone down the slide a couple times, until the last time we put it up. Now it is a new favorite of Andrea's. I think they would spend all day on the slide, if we didn't have to worry about sun burns and getting cold. It's nice to finally see Andi enjoy the slide like Sam does.

Andi loves to help, especially when it involves cooking. Grandma helped Andrea make zucchini bread one morning. It was really good.

Riley loves to eat. He decided that corn on the cob was pretty good. (No, he didn't eat all of that, I shared mine with him.)

This is a cousin of Sam's. They met at a family reunion 4 years ago, and can't wait to see each other at the next one. The story that was told to me was that the cousin said "If Sammi isn't here, then I'm not getting out of the car" when the got there. They were attached at the hip the rest of the night.

This is a favorite of all the kids. They really love to sit on it with a grown up because it makes the chair rock all the way back. It's funny to see Riley in the chair. He is just big enough that it rocks back a little to give him the thrill, but not enough that he can't make it up right. They all love to climb in and rock-rock.

I think this is Grandma's favorite thing when the younger kids visit. Riley and JJ like it too. I'm sure that Sam and Andi can't wait until the boys stop trying to eat everything so that Grandma can get out the one for the little marbles.

Grandma Roberts has whistles that the kids love. I wonder what happened to them?

Grandma and Grandpa Orr have kid size table for when the grandchildren visit. Riley thinks it is lots of fun to sit at this table like his big sisters and brother. Of course, he also thinks it's fun to climb on it too, but that's the stage he's in *sigh.* Riley isn't ready to eat at this table, but he really loves sitting there.
